Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years’ experience in network services or infrastructure, with proven expertise in product management, cross-functional team leadership, and driving cloud transformation.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and product development best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams, driving initiatives, and solving complex, technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Shape & Prioritize the Cloud Roadmap: Collaborate closely with the Architecture Team to develop and prioritize a cloud and infrastructure strategy that aligns with Auckland Council’s long-term goals and evolving business needs.
- Oversee Hybrid Infrastructure & Security: Lead the management of both physical and cloud infrastructure, ensuring robust security, seamless integration, and compliance with industry standards for identity management.
- Drive DevOps Adoption & Efficiency: Champion DevOps practices across teams, promoting automation, continuous integration, and operational efficiency to accelerate delivery and improve performance.
- Collaborate with Vendors: Work alongside cloud providers and technology vendors to design scalable, resilient cloud solutions, ensuring that they meet business requirements and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure Reliability & Resilience: Oversee the implementation of infrastructure solutions that are reliable, resilient, and optimized for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability, ensuring long-term alignment with the organization’s needs.
