You will join our growing VIP IoT Platform Team , which is part of the global department IT & Digital Enablement (IT&DE) with close to 200 colleagues working globally to support the entire VELUX Group .
As our new Technical Product Owner you will work as a link between IT and Supply and you r work will have a big impact for VELUX’ continuous digitization journey .

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for you who have at least 3 years of experience as a T echnical Product Owner , Technical Project manager, or another technical business-facing role in a digital development environment. You have a background in software development with solid knowledge of modern end-to-end application engineering practices.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

• Work in a disciplined and structured way e.g., when organizing work, outlining plans and documenting changes
• Are p roficien t in gathering and synthesizing requirements from multiple sources to create a unified product vision
• Can embrace changing needs and priorities and are comfortable and capable making informed critical decisions regarding app functionalities, architecture, and technology choices.
• Possess great people, communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with team members and business stakeholders
• Value continuous learning and deliberately work towards staying updated on industry and technology trends
• Are fluent in English (spoken and written)

In this role you will stee r the product roadmap of the applications for our II oT platform and ensure s uccessful translation of the product vision into actionable development plans and features with successful delivery outcome. This entails creating sprint plans with a clear product-oriented and agile mindset that maximizes the value generated by the team while focusing on standardization , scalability, resilience and speed of delivery.
Acting as a bridge between a large set o f stakeholder s, you will be responsible for ensuring effective communication with and between the development team, surrounding dependent teams, the IIoT Platform leadership , relevant business stakeholders and external vendors .

Your key responsibilities will include to:

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translating them into technical requirements and actionable items for the development team.
• Drive IT strategic initiatives in the product team such as implementing security measures and working towards technology unification .
• Prioritize product backlogs and create and maintain well-structured, well-refined user-stories, technical enablers, features that meets the Definition of Ready criterias while balancing short-term achievements with long-term strategic goals.
• Influence the strategic direction of the application portfolio, making critical decisions on app functionalities, underlying architecture, and technology stack in partnership with team architects.
• Oversee the product lifecycle from conception to deployment and together with the scrum master, facilitate continuous improvement initiatives with the team.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements with in Industrial IoT as well as application development ensuring our application suite remains cutting-edge and competitive.

You will be part of a global organisation and an international team and will be based at either our offices in either Skjern, Kolding, Østbirk or Hørsholm. We utilise our available technology to work virtually and flexible but you can expect some travelling primarily domestic.
