Technical Production Manager / Technical Project Manager - Live and Virtual

aps Events and Media is a successful, diverse and well-established events and media production company located in the beautiful surroundings of Abney Park, Cheadle. We specialise in the production of global events – virtual and live - and creating exciting and innovative digital media primarily within the healthcare industry.
We’re now looking for a Technical Project Manager / Technical Production Manager to join one of our busy project teams.
Technical and project management expertise is combined to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role typically involves developing the brief with the client, advising and guiding the client through what’s achievable (or not!), carrying out site visits, producing risk assessments, floor plans, method statements, budgets and technical specs, right through to managing on-site technical delivery of the project which will include managing third parties.
Projects can range in complexity from virtual/hybrid meetings, exhibition stands with delegate interaction involving detailed technical set ups, through to large scale congresses with multiple internal meetings with keypads/voting systems etc..
Keeping up to date with industry knowledge and trends is also key, as our Technical Project Managers work closely with our technical team colleagues to share ideas, discuss and research new technologies and so on.
If you don’t meet all the criteria, that’s okay - we’d still like to hear from those with AV/technical experience who have perhaps recently transitioned into project management. Likewise, if you’re currently in a similar role and seeking a step up to a senior level, we’d love to hear from you too!

REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will have the following experience:

• Technical AV and project management experience from brief to delivery gained within a similar events agency, and from a variety of event types
• Experience of event related AV, technical and virtual meeting kit and software such as Watchout, polling/keypads etc.
• Able to produce floorplans and other technical related schematics
• Experience of managing clients, event related suppliers, freelancers and other third parties
