As a Technical Program Manager & Governance Lead, you will oversee a team dedicated to triaging production issues on the data platform, coordinating the resolution of critical issues with engineering teams , and delivering high-priority requests from analysts and business teams.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years project or people management experience.
  • 2+ years experience implementing and managing data governance frameworks, particularly for web analytics data.
  • 2+ years experience with data security best practices, including access control, encryption, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • 2+ years experience working with legal, privacy, and compliance teams to align data collection with regulatory requirements (e.g., General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
  • 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

ADDITIONAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years people management experience.
  • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
    Technical Program Management M4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach teams as they work with Data Engineering, Software Engineering, and Business Planning teams to design technical solutions. You will also lead teams to identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.
  • Ensure analytics programs and projects comply with governance requirements. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation for compliance and program governance.
  • Streamline data collection and reporting across all Microsoft digital storefronts (Microsoft.com, Xbox, Store on Windows) to support better decisions while ensuring privacy and compliance in tools such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Microsoft Fabric (PBI)
  • Lead teams to define success criteria and help them understand return on investment. You’ll also lead them to collaborate and ensure alignment on product management and release.
  • Lead teams to deliver on feature roadmap, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation, and understand and manage governance programs.
  • Help teams drive continuous improvements by teaching them to validate use cases and leading them to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics.
