Description:

We seek a skilled Technical Program Manager to lead and oversee multiple complex project workstreams within a divestiture program. In addition, the role involves managing smaller parallel projects within the same timeframe. The primary focus is on coordinating infrastructure, security, and application migrations within a defined timeline, ensuring seamless execution through process improvements, scheduling adjustments, and employing both Agile and traditional Waterfall methodologies.
The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of Agile practices and tools and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including infrastructure, security, software engineering, and product teams. A strong background in IT infrastructure is essential for understanding, challenging, and coordinating across various technical teams. Regular progress monitoring, process optimisation, and reporting will be key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Migration Oversight: Plan, oversee, and manage the migration of applications from current cloud and on-premises environments to their equivalents within the new company infrastructure.
Project Planning: Maintain and update project plans, introducing necessary technical programs to support migration efforts (an initial plan is already in place).
Team Collaboration: Work closely with software architects, engineers, system engineers, developers, and product teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Progress Reporting: Track key metrics and prepare reports for senior management, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to communicate progress.
Dependency Management: Identify cross-team dependencies and integrate them into the program planning process.
Issue Resolution: Diagnose and address technical issues, providing potential solutions to maintain project momentum.
Budget and Timeline Adherence: Ensure migrations are completed within the approved budget and established timeframes.
Process Adjustments: Use performance metrics to improve product development and project delivery processes.
Escalation Management: Handle project escalations and assemble project teams when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in technology management, business administration, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of technical program management experience, preferably in a related industry (relevant prior experience is a plus but not mandatory).
