Description:
Our product engineering team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies of AR & MR products. We are focused on integrating and launching new technologies from early concept to launch while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience working as a technology development program manager for consumer electronics
- Experience in ODM/JDM/CM vendor engagement models
- Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development projects
- Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation and characterization processes
- Communication, planning skills, and attention-to-detail
- Knowledge of program and issue tracking and version control software
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects
- Experience maintaining a positive view, be a source of team morale, composed and effective in a fast-paced dynamic environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years experience working as a technology development program manager for consumer electronics
- 2+ years experience working in a mechanical engineering field preferred
- Experience in first party product development, defining requirements and program constraints, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Product Design Engineering enabling the definition and execution of next generation hardware program
- Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs
- Manage communication within and between internal cross functional and external partners
- Develop milestone schedule, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks
- Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery
- Manage delivery of hardware for the development builds and ensure qualification to meet mass production timelines
- Coordinate and drive engineering deliverables, including specifications, DOE and validation plans
- Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review
- Contribute to resource planning to ensure program success and objectives are met
- Up to 20% travel
