Description:

Technical Project Lead Role
The Technical Project Lead will act as the deputy to the Technical Programme Manager for Technical Services and will play a pivotal role in the success of the team. This individual will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external clients, managing technical projects within the data centre environment across multiple regions.
As the Technical Project Lead, your focus will be on ensuring smooth project delivery, cost-efficiency, and adherence to high service standards, contributing significantly to the overall strategic vision of ATC. You will lead structured cabling and technical service projects, coach and develop project teams, and ensure the highest quality standards.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience (4+ years) in managing technical projects within the data centre or IT infrastructure space.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on time management and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Resilient under pressure and able to navigate changing priorities with ease.
  • Experience with strategic planning, risk management, and implementing scalable processes.
  • Flexibility to travel for project meetings, site visits, and client interactions (approximately 30% travel required).
  • Previous experience in structured cabling or similar technical services is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage and lead multiple technical projects simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Deputy Role: Act as a deputy to the Technical Programme Manager for Technical Services, making strategic decisions, and supporting day-to-day project operations when required.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring clear communication and reporting on project progress and risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement across teams, driving initiatives to optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve timelines across diverse ATC regions.
  • Reporting & Escalation: Provide regular project reports and updates, track KPIs, and handle escalations swiftly and effectively, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  • Team Development: Coach and mentor project team members, ensuring they have the necessary technical skills and support to succeed.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, in collaboration with the Safety Engineer, performing monthly inspections and audits as required.
  • Standardization & Best Practices: Support the standardization of project processes, including training programs, to streamline operations and implement best practices across the organization.
  • Travel: Availability to travel within Europe (up to 30%) to meet with stakeholders and oversee project sites.
