QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Significant demonstrable experience in a similar or related role (managing HW, SW, Systems, Optics, Mechanics or multi-function projects).
  • Product supply chain management highly beneficial.
  • Ability to manage complex automotive projects with knowledge of typical product development processes from quotation to start of production is highly beneficial.
  • Experience of product engineering and commercialisation processes beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal stakeholder communication skills
  • A high level of competence in using Microsoft Office / Sharepoint and project management tools.
  • An approachable and diplomatic personality whilst maintaining drive and persuasion.
  • Capable to understand and manage all aspects off the project whilst empowering team members to deliver against their areas of responsibility.
  • Strong commercial and business awareness.
  • Knowledge of automotive displays, instrumentation or opto-electronics components would be a significant advantage for this role.
  • Experience working in a small company environment, ideally in the high-tech sector.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

Envisics is developing game-changing Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD) technology based on holography, which is under commercialization for a major OEM.
The Technical Project Manager will lead one or more of the company’s product development projects, supporting delivery to our automotive customers (Tier 1 and OEM) from business win to product launch.
This is an exciting, technically challenging role working with both cross functional, internal teams and supply chain partners to meet customer expectations and demanding delivery schedules. Strong people skills, project organization, and attention to technical details are essential.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills and will have experience of interacting at different levels in the organisation and across different disciplines. They will also be able to demonstrate a history of successfully delivering complex product development projects on time and to specification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading a cross-functional project team and interfacing to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in order to delivery project outputs.
  • Day-to-day management of project(s) with the responsibility to minimise implementation risks, resolve open issues and deliver against agreed deadlines.
  • Coordination of all aspects of allocated projects through effective communication and documentation, fully involved in deliverable definition and approach.
  • Relationship management of all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordination of internal & external resources for the execution of projects.
  • Development and monitoring of detailed project plans to track & report progress against objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility.
  • Reporting and escalation to management as needed.
  • Risk and Issue management, ensuring capture and mitigation plans are in place.
  • Development of project tools & processes to measure performance.
  • Report internally on project progress on a weekly basis, flagging issues that impact the business delivery.
