The Technical Project Manager is responsible for creating and delivering on a Project Plan to ensure positive outcomes. To succeed in this role, you will need to have excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills and lead highly effective teams in web technology efforts.

Requirements:

  • Create and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for complex website development projects and/or backlogs ensuring alignment with client goals and internal resource availability.
  • Translate client goals to short and long actionable plans and execute SilverTech services that align with those plans.
  • Work closely with teams through all phases of a project, including strategy, design, development, content, and QA to ensure all aspects of the project are progressing as planned. Facilitate smooth communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Monitor project scope to prevent scope creep, ensuring that any changes to requirements are communicated and agreed upon with clients. Manage project budgets and provide accurate forecasts of resources and costs.
  • Track timelines to ensure that project milestones are met, identify any potential delays or roadblocks, and take proactive measures to keep the project on track.
  • Oversee a team of developers/engineers as it relates to their project responsibilities, schedules, resourcing needs, etc. (not manage the developers/engineers directly).
  • Develop LOEs with input from subject matter experts and core team members.
  • Identify risks early in the project and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project’s success.
  • Review completed projects and internal processes to identify opportunities for improvement in project execution and team workflows.
  • Understand SilverTech capabilities and align with client needs. Work to recognize and solve any gaps in capabilities.
  • Deliver regular status updates and burndown reports.
  • Work with the Digital Traffic Manager to create resourcing plans to ensure projects are appropriately staffed.
  • Manage multiple projects and clients at any given time.
  • Accountable for the overall project success of assigned clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or similar or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience working on complex web technology projects in an Agency environment.
  • Experience using both waterfall and agile Project Management.
  • Experience with PM software, DevOps, SmartSheet, Excel, etc.
  • Experience in a direct, external client-facing role.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as with internal teams such as sales, engineering, design, and strategy.
  • Knowledge and understanding of cross-departmental roles and contributions for web projects including strategy and design, engineering, and hosting.
  • Ability to speak on topics like development work, engineering tasks, and general project fundamentals to fully comprehend the client requests and translate them appropriately into actionable items for the team doing the work.
  • Experience working simultaneously with multiple clients on complex projects for enterprise-level accounts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the components of web projects including visual design, back-end development, and hosting preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to varying client industries, landscapes technological limitations, and budgets.
  • Experience managing the day-to-day of projects (schedules, priorities, resourcing needs, stand-ups/Scrums, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with clients (present project statuses, discuss prioritization, interpret and enforce scopes, share project burn updates).
  • Customer service skills and experience are a must.
