Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The sustainable energy materials lead by Professor Titirici located in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London in seeking a technical research manager (Level 3) for a large, diverse and multidisciplinary group working in energy materials. This role will support, in priority, research in the areas of: (1) materials synthesis; (2) batteries manufacturing and testing , (3) catalysts for H2 generation and fuel cells and (4) catalysts for CO2 and N2 reduction.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
Your role will be to act as the main point of contact for DIGIBAT for aspects related to the running of DIGIBAT and the peripheral instruments. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- overseeing the commissioning, installation, operation and maintenance of DIGIBAT.
- overseeing the safety of the DIGIBAT laboratory, as well as the safety of the activities taking place in the laboratory.
- leading the training of users - external and internal (incl. students, researchers and industrialists).
- working with the DigiFAB project manager, ATLAS management and DIGIBAT management board to set-up and maintain online resources related to DIGIBAT (i.e. booking system, website/social media, electronic lab book, laboratory protocols, data management).
- helping in reviewing proposals submitted to get access to DIGIBAR
