We are looking for a Technical Sales & Business Development Manager – Energy Solutions to join our company.
As our new Technical Sales & Business Development Manager (TSBDM) for Energy Solutions within WSS, you will enhance existing sales and optimize profits. You will actively pursue new business opportunities, aligning customer needs with product solutions. You will also utilize your product knowledge, you will assist customers in maximizing value by highlighting key selling points, managing the technical sales process, addressing advanced technical questions, and closing deals.

Supplying marine consumables, products, and solutions to every conceivable vessel type, our Marine Products division includes the Unitor brand of products, Timm ropes, Unicool refrigerants, and Unitor and Nalfleet marine chemicals. Last year we made product deliveries to 27,500 vessels, at over 2,000 ports.

What you will work on:

  • Drive profitable sales growth for current and new customers within the product portfolio
  • Prioritize target lists, follow through with required activities to close deals, and demonstrate best practices in technical sales
  • Collaborate with the Sales counterpart to integrate relevant Energy solutions into their Sales Activity Plans
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline to meet specified targets
  • Ensure opportunities in the sales pipeline progress and convert into account sales
  • Utilize available sales tools to identify growth areas for the assigned product portfolio and take action with target customers
  • Foster strong customer relationships through high-quality and frequent face-to-face meetings
  • Maintain the highest level of technical and practical understanding of Energy solutions within the sales organization and apply this knowledge commercially
  • Accurately update the WSS Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with visit reports, opportunities, and deals
  • Ensure full compliance with WSS sales governance and risk management for your portfolio

What you need to succeed in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent marine qualification preferred
  • Preferably international sales experience in technical sales
  • Experience as marine engineer or knowledge with fuel oil and propulsion system is advantageous
  • Results oriented and with demonstrated achievements in sales
  • Proven record of establishing and maintaining relationships with customers
  • Ability to work independently by planning and organizing own work
  • Ambitious and a strong desire for success with a commercial mindset
  • Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.
