Bender is known for its commitment to innovation and safety in electrical systems, especially in a healthcare setting where electrical safety is critical to patient well-being. Due to further expansion and growth a newly created role within Bender Ireland, an Industrial Sales Manager is required.
The main purpose of this role will be to educate and inform customers who rely on electricity and place a high value on its continuing availability within all sectors outside of healthcare.
As company, Bender has been at the forefront of electrical safety innovations for over 75 years and have gained have a strong reputation for high-quality products and solutions, as well as expertise in compliance with international electrical safety standards.
The successful candidate can be based anywhere within Ireland as this role will be covering all customers within the 32 counties. A such, extensive travel will be required and a strong desire to succeed along with be able to demonstrate flexibility is a pre-requisite for this role.
The Industrial Sales Manager, working with the regional director will develop and implement a sales strategy that will focus on achieving revenue targets and growing our market share. This position requires a strong understanding of the electrical industry. Experience within a sales background Is preferable, however consideration will be given to candidates that can demonstrate a strong electrical knowledge and demonstrate experience in manging electrical failures and problem solving. The successful candidate, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills will play a key role in establishing and maintaining relationships with customers.
Initially this role will focus on key demographics within our already well received and utilised Electrical Safety portfolio such as Rail, EV and Data Centres. The successful candidate should be extremely flexible in their approach as every day will bring new opportunities and variety.
Planning, preparation and travel are a must for this role, training will be provided in Cumbria or Grunberg, Germany as required.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience of CRM systems required, and Salesforce experience would be advantageous.
  • Qualified electrical engineer or electrician. Consideration will be given to Sales candidates who have a proven track record of technical sales within an Electrical market place.
  • Strong Sales, hunter experience. Self Starter who thrives on delivering results.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical products, systems, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet customer and business needs.
  • Results-oriented and a track record of exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities:

MAIN PURPOSE:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth in both established and new markets for Bender products.
This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering and a proven track record in technical sales

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive sales growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities in both established and emerging markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to customers, demonstrating the value and functionality of Bender products.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.
  • Work closely with the technical and marketing teams to develop and execute sales strategies and promotional activities.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights to the team and customers
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth
  • Promote cross functional working and demonstrate a one team approach to promote a positive culture within the workplace
  • Ensure that all sales activities and processes comply with company policies and industry regulations
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and products, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders
  • Proactive approach to identifying and address customer needs
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Ireland to meet with customers and attend industry events
