Description:
Do you thrive in a dynamic role where you combine sales mastery with technical complexity, focused on future-proofing vessels for energy efficiency?
Job Description
Are you ready to be part of a global organization dedicated to reducing emissions and improving the energy efficiency of vessels? Berg Propulsion is at the forefront of this transformation, supporting shipowners and operators in optimizing vessel performance to meet evolving regulatory standards like CII (Carbon Intensity Indicator), ETS (Emissions Trading System), and other global sustainability frameworks.
The shipping industry is currently one of the most efficient means of transporting goods. However, to meet the ambitious goal of reducing emissions by 50% by 2030, it is undergoing significant changes, driven by new regulations and innovations. Berg Propulsion is committed to this transformation, working with stakeholders to implement tailored retrofit and system integration solutions that enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Key duties
Support the sales organization in configuring and optimizing propulsion systems and energy-efficient solutions
Assist in the future development of our product configuration tool to meet the latest industry standards for emissions reduction.
Coordinate with various departments such as sales, engineering, core competence teams, contract managers, and external partners including class societies, sub-suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Identify and work with sub-suppliers to include products that align with emission reduction targets and energy efficiency standards.
Engage with customers and provide technical presentations, energy performance analyses, and solutions that future-proof their vessels for compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead initiatives that support shipowners and designers in identifying the most effective technical solutions for propulsion needs, in line with global sustainability targets.
Who you are
We value passion and commitment above all, and we believe you have:
A strong technical background with an interest in marine engineering and energy efficiency.
A university degree in Hydrodynamics, Engineering, or a related field.
Ideally experience in the marine or energy efficiency sector, but we’re open to professionals with less experience who have a deep interest in emission reduction technologies.
Customer-focused and result-oriented, you enjoy taking on challenges in a fast-evolving market.
The ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and adapt to changing regulatory and market demands.
High social and communication skills to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
A quick learner who thrives on adopting new approaches to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Strong prioritization and multitasking skills, especially in dynamic environments.
A passion for problem solving, with a focus on innovative, energy efficient solutions.
What we offer
In addition to being part of an enthusiastic and diverse team, we offer:
An opportunity to make a tangible impact on the global goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable shipping.
A promising career in an industry-leading company that is at the heart of the maritime energy efficiency transformation.
A chance to learn, grow, and share your knowledge with industry experts.
