Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Specialist to join our sales & marketing team. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with sales acumen, serving as our first full-time employee in eastern Canada. Based at COVE, you’ll manage our east coast service fleet of 3 USVs, provide customer support, conduct demonstrations, and drive system sales and mission services across eastern Canada, the United States, and beyond.

Core Responsibilities
- Conduct USV demonstrations, including mission planning and execution
- Generate and nurture sales leads through proactive outreach and relationship building
- Deliver compelling customer presentations and prepare detailed quotations
- Craft winning proposals, identify and respond to RFP opportunities
- Maintain and leverage our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Provide customer support and assist in program management for service and sales contracts
- Represent OOR at trade shows and conferences, showcasing our technology and capabilities
- Collaborate with the engineering and sales & marketing team to communicate customer needs and market trends
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in engineering, marine sciences, ocean technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of sales experience in uncrewed maritime systems, oceanographic or hydrographic sensors, or related maritime technology
- Demonstrated ability to pilot small vessels and familiarity with marine operations
- Proficiency in sales software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, Confluence, and Slack
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Self-motivated with proven leadership skills and a track record of professional achievements
- Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
- Passionate about innovative technology and its potential for positive impact
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities
- Willingness to travel for demonstrations, sales meetings, and industry events
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain necessary certifications for marine operations
