POSITION SUMMARY:

Act as Technical Sales support academy by training the network of Sales support’s professionals with product, applications and any other information that is key for increase the sales effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (agrochemical, life sciences, horticultural emphasis); master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of ten years of agriculture experience with at least five years leading a global or large regional technical team across multiple countries
  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively with Commercial, Marketing, Product Management and R&D functions
  • Demonstrated competency in establishing and implementing product trials, collect, elaborate and summarize results
  • Ability to work effectively across numerous cultures resulting in strong and collaborative relationships
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to adapt to various audiences including employees, customers and management
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems in different markets and determine the most important factors required to achieve success
  • Fluency in Italian, and conversational English, with a strong preference for additional EU languages
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the technical team for the domestic and international market for Biolchim & Cifo in EMEA APAC region.
  • Provides sales assistance through an accurate knowledge of the products and their agronomic applications in the various Italian, export, and subsidiaries geography when high technical skills are needed.
  • Owns the knowledge of the agronomic applications of Huber AgroSolutions products and acts as a central product specialist academy, to transmit information both to Subsidiaries and Technical Sales Support referents.
  • Reviews existing data and resources, identifies gaps, and creates and updates technical presentations and training materials for internal and external use.
  • Manages the collection of all inputs from local sales teams and properly reports the information to Product Mangers and R&D Team.
  • Collaborates with Agronomic Trials Teams on pre-lunch (late development) agronomic tests of new products to deeper assess product characteristics and transfer the information to Sales Department.
  • Contributes to the development of educational content for existing and new products and provides materials for the catalogue, leaflets, website and other marketing platforms.
  • Builds annual training programs and prepare teaching plans, with structured learning experiences.
  • Prepares and implements a continuing education and training budget.
  • Periodically evaluates, updates, and improves ongoing programs to ensure they are appropriate and effective.
  • Participates in R&D meetings to support the technical-agronomic aspects necessary for the development of the new product concept.
  • Attends clients and distributors presentations to support the sales process in foreign countries when high technical skills are needed.
