The Technical Services Engineer has responsibility for the Part 145 Pre input planning of repairs/modifications and peculiar tasks for aircraft Base and Workshops maintenance and the Management of repairs arising from base maintenance inspections. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all essential activities are concluded in a timely manner and priorities are clearly adhered to.

• Provide technical input for aircraft modifications and configuration changes, ensuring compliance and updating relevant documents accordingly. • Author maintenance instructions (work cards) for repair requirements to meet Part 145 standards and provide technical assistance to the Production Planning team.

  • Update Customer Acceptance and CRS documents prior to AC departure to ensure all repairs, repeat inspections or deferred permanent actions are captured and passed on to the relevant CAMO/Operator.
  • Review of all pre input work pack repair tasks in conjunction with the Production Planning team to ensure pre planning has been achieved including man-hour estimates, preload requirements and complex task breakdowns.
  • Generation of Preload listing for pre input repair tasks including tooling, parts and material call-ups.
  • Review of stock requirements from historic repairs across base maintenance inputs to ensure stock holdings of fasteners, structural items and unique spares for future requirements.
  • Identification of repair work content requiring the services of external agencies and sub-contractors and liaison with relevant sub-contractors if there is a requirement for specialist services.
  • Attend meetings to provide Pre input meeting aircraft repair status updates or similar.
  • Improve work processes and highlight any issues to the Planning, Logistics and Stores Manager if unable to rectify by self.
  • Train/Mentor new starters to ensure they are able to fulfil their duties and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the damage mapping and reporting process for all repair requirements for base maintenance inputs including Workshops to ensure control, accuracy and prompt repair advice is issued and then received from the relevant OEMs. To include, physical damage mapping including photographs and Damage report checklist completion, project Management, liaison with relevant customers, Production staff and OEMs to ensure the best possible repair advice is achieved.
  • Liaise with aircraft manufacturers for repair schemes and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
