ABOUT YOU

Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline or with equivalent relevant industrial experience, you will have a track record of management in a laboratory setting, including the enforcement of health and safety policy. We are looking for someone who can analyse and solve technical issues and is able to communicate confidently with a wide range of people. As a result, strong written and verbal communication skills are key.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will support the College of Science and Engineering by taking operational responsibility for laboratory areas within the School of Engineering, alongside the provision of technical support services and guidance to members of staff and students in the College. You will lead the technical support team, ensuring the team meets the requirements and contributes to the aims of the College and University.
Using your expertise, you will contribute to the development of procedures and systems, identifying areas for improvement and preparing reports and making recommendations to ensure continuous improvement of support services.
