As our Technical Solutions Engineer, Smart Systems Technology, you will:
- Review job specifications and drawings to develop performance specifications and design solutions.
- Assist clients in finalizing designs and creating tailored solutions.
- Conduct site/tender walkthroughs to cross-reference drawings, avoid interferences, and identify solutions.
- Focus on onboard and off-board vehicle systems, including PA, PIDs, GIDs, Farecard, Radio, and Train control.
- Design solutions such as harnesses, bracketry, and installation practices.
- Participate in prototyping and create installation design documentations.
- Create assessment reports from on-site installation reviews.
- Produce performance specifications and documentation for accurate project execution.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specifications, and resolve ambiguities.
- Collaborate with sub-contractors and suppliers for component and system integration.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical support to sales activities.
- Attend handover meetings with the project management team after the award.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience within the electrical construction industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of smart systems, including wiring for building automation, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and mechanical systems.
- An Electrical Engineering degree or diploma, or related education and/or trade experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
