Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Martlet Basketball Head Coach, the technical specialist will assist the full time staff with various duties related to the administration, training, and competing of the women’s basketball program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Compile statistics and produce reports for coaching staff
- Assist in practices and off season workouts with individual skill development
- Assist with the recruitment of prospective student athletes
- Assist with game competition and scouting
- Assist with ensuring the academic, social and overall wellbeing of current student athletes.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
- 3 years coaching experience at the post-secondary level required
- Strong knowledge or playing experience CEGEP or University level considered an asset.
- Knowledge or previous practical experience in the organization of the sport preferred
- Strong ability tp coordinate and organize events, monitoring activities
- Willing to accept variable schedule (evenings, weekends)
Must successfully pass a background check
McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 on a scale of 0-4.
