ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Controls Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in a Controls/Automation role
- 3+ years of programming experience with Rockwell controls software or RS Logix 5000/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio ME, Siemens and/or Modicon/Schneider Electric controls, and Structured Text
- Knowledge of specific controls’ software/hardware and serves as the technical authority
- Knowledge of various software and communication protocols to assist and tackle integration of OEM equipment into overall plant network, VPN connections, remote
- Capable of working autonomously, with minimal instruction, addressing multi-variate issues
- Experience with the GE, Beijer, Wago are a plus

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Trojan Technologies is seeking a Technical Support Controls Specialist to join our team in London, Ontario. This is a hybrid position – the incumbent can anticipate working 3 days per week on site and 2 days from home.
If are experienced with PLCs, and you want to find yourself in an environment that challenges you, while rewarding you for your electrical/technical customer support skills, and you are looking for a place to grow, this could be the job for you!
THE ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB INCLUDE:
- Programming and troubleshooting various automation platforms remotely on brand new equipment as well as systems that have been installed
- Engage with customers (both external as well as internal from other departments) via phone and e-mail to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment, computer systems, and software.
- Will have project-based work in a typical week
- 10% of your “on site” days being at a customer’s site to work on a project tailored to a specific location
