JOB SUMMARY

From micro-services to the latest Machine Learning (ML)/Language Models (LM) technology, NetApp KDE team covers a wide gamut of technologies and applications, to deliver compelling solutions for our business.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintaining, enhancing, and implementing our products. This internship will provide valuable exposure to the field of engineering and an opportunity to develop essential skills in developing, documenting, presenting, and problem-solving.
As part of your internship, you will be working on projects to use AI within NetApp’s knowledgebase system to analyze and/or classify.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams and independently to meet goals and high-quality standards
  • Proven aptitude for leaning new technologies and processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a creative approach to problem solving
  • Familiarity of basic concepts of computer architecture, data structure and standard programming practices preferably C#, Python
  • Familiar with Virtualization and Cloud Technologies an advantage
  • Understanding of AO and the use of AI in projects is preferred
  • Basic understanding or eagerness to learn the following: - Linux/Docker; - ML/LM, - Test-Cases, - MongoDB, - Jira, - Bitbucket

YOUR PROFILE

  • Current student of a bachelor’s degree in one of the following technical disciplines: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related subjects like Mathematics, Physics.
  • Additional European language skills (e.g., French, German, Spanish) are an advantage, but not essential.
  • This role is open to 3rd year students looking for a 6–8-month internship as part of their degree program.
  • You should have the unrestricted right to work in Ireland for the entire duration of the internship. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship.
