ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Technical Trainer Instructor - Engineering to complement our team. This role is based from Faslane, Helensburgh and benefits from either our 9/75 or 4xFlex working patterns, being a 9 day working fortnight or 4 day working week (days can vary depending on training delivery schedule).
This is a unique opportunity for someone with experience of teaching, lecturing or training people to move into a different industry and join a world-renowned defence company working on programmes key to the UKs national security.

On top of this technical foundation we will then provide training in the specific technical areas required to be able to be able to instruct on the workings and maintenance of the Royal Navy’s Trident Strategic Weapon System (SWS).
Equally we’d welcome applications from individuals with direct SWS experience such as SWS Instructor, SWS Engineer, Weapons Engineer or similar.

The key requirements, activities and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Working as a fully integrated member within our instructor team delivering technical training in support of the statement of training requirement.
  • Encouraging and mentor trainees with enthusiasm to ensure the highest standard of training output is achieved.
  • Supporting both practical and theory training elements to both the Royal Navy and industry partners in the Trident Training Facility.
  • Conducting reviews of training documentation in support of the Training Delivery Associate Manager.
  • Shift working will be required in support of the Royal Navy’s Training, and Trident Engineering Support Trainer Programmes.
