Description:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Education: Engineering qualification, preferably in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Significant experience in a technical role within a data centre environment, with proficiency in data centre technologies and best practices.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Experience mentoring, coaching, or managing technical teams.
- Training Experience: Experience in developing and delivering training programs is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Industry certifications such as Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) or equivalent are advantageous.
- Languages: fluent in English and German
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure management and operations.
- Exceptional communication skills – able to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
- Strong leadership, planning, and project management abilities.
- Creative approach to designing engaging training programs and motivating participants.
- Proficiency with e-learning platforms and training software is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As we expand, we’re seeking a passionate and experienced Technical Training Manager (f/m/d) to help us empower our engineering teams through world-class training and development programs. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce by developing, delivering, and continuously improving training solutions for our data centre operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Technical Training Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our teams have the skills, knowledge, and capabilities necessary to meet the demands of the modern data centre environment. This includes:
- Training Program Development:
- Lead the design and creation of technical training programs and materials, including manuals, online modules, and videos tailored to data centre services.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure content is up-to-date, relevant, and meets the specific needs of various roles.
- Customize training programs for different levels of expertise within the organization.
- Delivery of Training Solutions:
- Ensure effective delivery of both in-house and outsourced training programs, utilizing the latest methods such as simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, and professional development classes.
- Deliver training programs directly when required, ensuring a hands-on, engaging learning experience.
- Manage internal training resources and collaborate with external providers as necessary.
- Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training solutions through feedback, tests, and evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure training content remains current and effective.
- Identify opportunities to enhance training processes and materials.
- Traineeship & New Hire Programs:
- Lead the development and implementation of training pathways for apprentices, trainees, and new hires to ensure they are set up for success from day one.
