Description:

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY CRITERIA

  • Hold a current Part 66 category B1 or B1 unrestricted Licence and hold approvals or be eligible to hold approvals for the A32 o A33 Aerlingus Aircraft.
  • Demonstrate and excellent working knowledge of the Aer Lingus fleet, maintenance organisation, maintenance procedures and AMOS.
  • A professional attitude with a proven ability to influence lead and deliver.
  • Possess a demonstrated ability to assess and report on standards.
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to convey information objectively.
  • Proven decision making skills with the ability to make timely well informed decisions.
  • Proven Administration skills with strong attention to detail.
  • IT Literacy with advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Highly motivated team player with a positive attitude.
  • Must be prepared to undertake continuing professional development in order to maintain currency.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide 3 verifiable references.
  • Full unrestricted driving licence.
  • Able to pass a 5-year enhanced security background check.

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

The person in this role will be responsible for the preparation, development, delivery and co-ordination of technical training as required by Line Maintenance Engineers, Operation staff within the Maintenance and Engineering department and External Supplier staff. They will also be responsible for identifying new training requirements and the currency of existing offering in order to ensure we meet and comply with the requirements of the relevant EASA and FAA regulations. The role is a technical position with a specific requirement to be category B1/B2 qualified as many of the courses require knowledge and expertise in respect of aircraft engineering in order to deliver fit for purpose training.

  • Provide technical training to all 145 maintenance engineers and CAMO personnel.
  • Deliver Safety (SMS) and Human Factors Training.
  • Provide training as required to operational and supplier staff.
  • Develop, prepare and maintain technical training courses.
  • Engage in and promote the use of E learning as a platform for the delivery of courses.
  • Assist in the development of an annual training plan for the Maintenance and Engineering department.
  • Ensure training material/handouts are available for all courses.
  • Ensure that all training records as accurately maintained in a database (currently AMOS).
  • Various Task and projects as allocated by the Head of Training.
