Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Technical Training Specialist, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:

  • Recognised as the company focal point for all Technical Training requirements.
  • Partner with relevant Technical Authorities and Subject Matter Experts to ensure that new or updated training expectations are defined, designed, and implemented effectively across relevant assets and departments.
  • Manage the Training Matrices for mandatory and nominated technical training expectations, including Management of Change of technical training expectations.
  • Lead the scoping and development of new technical training courses.
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of changes to regulatory requirements and industry best practice and ensuring that these are effectively addressed and cascaded throughout the organisation.
  • Facilitate an Active Gap Management process.
  • Operational ownership of the Training Management System (TMS) software.
  • Actively monitor and report to Senior Leadership on overall training compliance, gap management and contractor compliance performance.
  • Execution of regulatory inspections.
  • Management of Contractor Competence.
  • Competence Assessor or Internal Verifier for Supervisory Management and L&D awards.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified, advanced technical diploma, or equivalent.
  • L&D9Di, A1 or D32/33 qualified (or working towards).
  • ISO9001:2015 Lead Auditor qualified.
  • Experience of working within the energy, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experienced in leading or supervising the delivery of training expectations.
  • Experienced in the development of technical training solutions, from scoping through to implementation.
  • Experience of working with the Oil and Gas Regulator.
