Position: Technical Writer/Editor
Location: Philippines
Reports to: Evaluation Team Leader
Period of Performance: August 2024 – December 2024

POSITION SUMMARY

Panagora Group seeks a short-term technical consultant to serve as technical writer/editor for the Evaluation of the Primary Care Provider Network (PCPN) Sandbox Implementation. S/He will support the evaluation team lead leader in drafting, editing, and reviewing deliverables, including reports and presentation materials. The evaluation is expected to be carried out between August-December 2024. The position will report to the Evaluation Team Leader and will work closely with the performance evaluation team and PIMMELA’s Senior Health M&E Specialist.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline preferably with a health focus (e.g., economics, biostatistics, epidemiology)
• At least eight years of experience in technical writing specifically in research, and/or monitoring and evaluation
• Previous experience in development work and with donors, specifically USAID
• Knowledge of USAID guidance on preparing evaluations reports and adhering to evaluation report criteria and checklist
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in English
• Familiarity with USAID health systems and FP/ARH programs/projects/activities is desirable
• Familiarity with health programs and services in the Philippines
• Local consultant, based in the Philippines

• Participate in evaluation team planning meetings with PIMMELA
• Provide technical/editorial input to report/presentation outlines and review and edit the following deliverables:
• Evaluation design report
• Desk review findings report and presentation
• Final evaluation protocols document
• Preliminary findings presentation
• Draft evaluation report
• Develop the abstract and executive summary of the evaluation report
• Support the team in integrating feedback from USAID and finalizing the evaluation report
• Ensure the Final Report is compliant with Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act
