TECHNICAL WRITER/EDITOR FOR DEFENCE PRODUCTS

Systematic Defence Business Unit is looking for an experienced Technical Writer/Editor to join our growing business. Do you have excellent English writing skills and a passion for writing user documentation for world leading defence software products? Then you might be the person we are looking for.

We are looking for self-motivated and highly energetic individual, with an ambition and professional commitment to deliver high-quality user documentation to our end-user community.

• Relevant degree in English, Technical Writing or related field required.
• 3+ years of proven experience in writing end-user documentation
• Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts
• Ability to prioritize across multiple projects, work independently and deliver to agreed deadlines
• Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills (proficiency at the level of native speaker preferred)
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Solid grip on documentation publishing software such as MadCap Flare
• Good working knowledge of MS Office
• Attention to detail combined with ability to execute

• Prepare end-user manuals and online help for our software products
• Create user documentation through collaboration with subject matter experts
• Help colleagues creating engaging documentation
• Improve, simplify and consolidate existing content
• Convert complex information to easily accessible communication for multiple audiences
• Create product manuals with screenshots and tutorials
• Communicate complex ideas in a concise manner
