This position offers flexibility to work remotely within the EMEA region while supporting a Belgium-based development team. To facilitate collaboration, we are seeking candidates within a time zone of ±2 hours from Belgium (CET). Our offices are in Ireland, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and candidates based in these locations will have increased opportunities for in-person collaboration.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in technical writing for software documentation, particularly in document automation systems.
- Proficiency with Git source control, especially in conjunction with the Madcap publishing ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for managing technical content and workflows.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software developers and product teams to ensure documentation accuracy.
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience writing release notes for a software product with quarterly updates.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Loop to track meeting notes, deliverables, to-dos, or manage wiki information.
- Proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, or Power Automate.
- Experience working in a Microsoft Enterprise environment using Outlook and Teams.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled technical writer to join our team working on document automation software. You will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining high-quality documentation for our software products. This role requires close collaboration with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure our documentation meets user needs and supports the product development lifecycle. Onboarding & Work Arrangement
- The position is fully remote after onboarding.
- Onboarding includes two weeks onsite with the hiring manager for hands-on training at one of our EMEA locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write, edit, and publish technical documentation using the Madcap Flare ecosystem.
- Manage documentation versions and revisions through Git source control.
- Collaborate with the Belgium-based development team using Azure DevOps to track project progress and update documentation accordingly.
- Ensure all content is accurate, concise, and in line with company standards.
