Description:

Verus Research is searching for a Technical Writer who can effectively communicate scientific ideas and outcomes pertaining to research and development (R&D) in the nuclear effects field.
No previous experience in nuclear effects is required. However, candidates possessing a technical awareness in electrical engineering, physics, or similar disciplines are more likely to provide clear explanations of complex technical ideas to others within the scientific community.
In addition to the academic background described here, the ideal candidate for the Technical Writer will be able to work well in a team and provide coherent reporting of technical concepts.

Success in this role will stem from:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Demonstrated written and oral and presentation communication skills, including experience writing technical reports and briefing program results
  • Familiarity with relevant technical areas in the academic or Department of Defense R&D domains as they pertain to nuclear effects testing, laboratory measurements, and analysis
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, or other relevant engineering discipline (degree-holders in journalism or English will also be considered if the applicant has documented technical experience in a physical lab environment)

Salary: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
