As a Technical Writer working student at Yokoy, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced product, design, and development teams, and contribute to helping our customers get the most from our next generation spend management products. You will participate in developing different types of content, from API specifications and release notes, to troubleshooting articles, how-tos, and integration guides for a wide range of audiences. We are looking for an individual with a passion for writing and technology, who enjoys breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand content.
This is a working student position (20h per week).

Responsibilities:

  • You will collaborate in writing, editing, and proofreading factually accurate documentation about how Yokoy works.
  • You will translate existing help articles into German.
  • You will support by updating existing docs based on customer and stakeholder feedback.
  • You will assist in researching and simplifying complex technical concepts.
  • You will work with the product marketing and technical teams to ensure the content aligns with brand tone, messaging, and technical accuracy.
  • You will collaborate with UX writing and Marketing in maintaining documentation writing standards, style guides, templates.
  • ️ What you’ll need:
  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, preferably in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Languages, Arts, or a related field.
  • You have a passion for technology and innovation, with a desire to learn and grow in the field of technical writing.
  • You have excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • You are detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • You are capable of quickly grasping complex technical concepts and making them easily understandable in text and pictures.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with GitHub, Markdown, HTML, and doc as code.
  • Experience with content management systems (i.e. Confluence, Intercom, SharePoint, Jira etc.) is a plus.
  • You are fluent in English (B2/C1) and German (C1); other languages are a plus.
