Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated and engaging Technical Writer to join our growing and talented Technical Publications team based in Stafford. This position will report to the Manager of Quality Systems, Certifications & Compliance and will be responsible for developing and creating clear and concise technical documentation for complex technical software, hardware, systems, and services. This role will engage and collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams, including developers, product managers, and product owners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Develop and update software, hardware, and system manuals for installation, operation, administration, configuration, and maintenance.
- Write clear, complete, and correct technical content.
- Create any necessary graphics and coordinate layout and manual organization.
- Research available engineering information such as specifications, drawings, equipment, and test specifications.
- Read complex engineering documentation and interview product developers to obtain understanding of features.
- Coordinate schedules with other internal departments, ensuring documentation is completed according to project milestones.
- Participate in editorial peer-review process to ensure high-quality, consistent deliverables according to industry and company formats, styles, and standards.
