Position Summary
The Mentis laboratory in the Department of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking to recruit a hard-working, ambitious, and energetic individual as part of its research team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experienc
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates who have had previous research experience are strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
The Technician B is expected to assist with all the daily activities of the lab, including, but not limited to assisting in preparing inventory and ordering reagents, including antibodies and viral vectors.
- Responsible for helping with behavioral assessment of the animal, section, and stain tissue protocol.
- Assist with genotyping and breeding mouse colonies and help in gathering data for archiving and proper storage.
- Will attend all the laboratory activities, including, but not limited to weekly lab meetings,
- Assist PI and other investigators in collecting and preparing data for presentations.
- Other duties as assigned.
