Technician Demonstrator - Plumbing and Gas

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum level 2 literacy/English and numeracy/maths qualifications, or willing to obtain within an agreed timeframe
• Level 2 technical or vocational qualification in Plumbing & Gas or extensive industry/site experience.
• Be familiar with and have experience of the general aspects of construction crafts with specific experience of Plumbing & Gas.
• Have a knowledge of current health & safety regulations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To plan, prepare and present structured demonstrations aligned to the lecturers taught practical sessions that underpin specific skills to groups of students and deliver bespoke demonstrations to smaller groups within a curriculum area.
• Maintain the workshop environment ensuring the area is free from hazards so students, staff and visitors are safe and free from potential hazards. Conduct evaluation reports and update risk assessments monitoring the condition of equipment and providing guidance around safe practice when entering or working within the workshops and store areas.
