Responsibilities:
CAN YOU WORK AUTONOMOUSLY AND SOLVE COMPLEX PROBLEMS? IF YOU HAVE PROVEN EXPERIENCE OF WORKING IN A TECHNICAL SUPPORT ROLE AND YOU CAN SUPPORT THE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT OPERATION OF OUR GENERAL FACILITIES AND RESOURCES, THEN THIS IS THE PERFECT ROLE FOR YOU.
Working as part of our technical support team you will provide a comprehensive, immediate and specialised electronics support service for staff and students within the school.
You will help to deliver timely, and effective specialised research and teaching laboratory support to students, academic and research staff at all levels and visitors.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE ROLE?
- Educated to A level or equivalent in electronics engineering, or directly relevant industry experience
- Proven experience of working in a technical support role with experience using complex technical equipment
- Relevant theoretical and practical knowledge in electronics
- Excellent working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. For example, risk assessment, COSHH
- Experience in supporting the procurement of technical equipment
- Providing complex equipment and technology advice to students and colleagues
