REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in science related field or two to four (2-4) years Marek’s lab experience.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry it ten (10) ft.
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time and work in a sterile production environment.
- Must be flexible with availability.
- This position requires weekend work.
- Regular attendance is a must.

Responsibilities:
Is fully trained and can work independently in the Media area in the production of Marek’s disease vaccine. Which may include, but is not limited to:
- Performing all processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Always utilizing sterile technique.
- Having active knowledge of working under laminar flow hoods and HEPA filtered environment.
- Communicating any occurrence to team leader and/or supervisor immediately.
- Responsible for always keeping the lab area clean and sterile; ensuring these activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Working cooperatively with mentor in training; training is vital to performance and should be considered a priority.
- Maintaining accurate and timely manufacturing records, this includes all paperwork and files.
- Actively promoting safety and awareness in the lab, always acting in occurrence with safety practices.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Avian Biosecurity Policy:
- It is the responsibility of all employees to take necessary steps to avoid contact with the avian species in general. This includes, but is not limited to, commercial poultry, yard chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, wild birds and pet birds.
- Should contact occur, precautions must be taken prior to entering a critical building or location: Anyone encountering the avian species should not enter a critical building or location for 24 hours unless they have showered, changed clothes and shoes.
