Description:

Work Location - North York, ON
Shift/Hours – Monday to Friday 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science related field preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years prior production/manufacturing experience and 2+ year’s relevant lab technician experience.
  • Food/beverage industries experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and keep records.
  • Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct microbial testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze microbial contamination trends and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to address microbial issues and optimize processes.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Document and report test results, and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulator
