About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in warehouse in an industrial setting (mining is preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with inventory and management software applications such as SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Cross cultural work experience is an asset.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills including ability to prioritise.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW/PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role will be responsible for the managing of all the major materials (fuel, oil, mill reagents, tires, drilling materials, etc.) to support the mine operations. The Warehouse Technician will interact frequently with other employees and departments, requiring the delivery of high-performance customer service with attention to detail.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the receiving and distribution of all major materials for inventory purchases.
  • Coordinates the receiving, inventory count reconciliation and adequate inventory levels for operations.
  • Entering purchase order data in the ERP (SAP) system and insure attention to detail.
  • Performing research on items in the ERP (SAP) system and assist in physical counts and audits.
  • Receiving all Major Materials in a timely manner.
  • Entering data in SAP system paying close attention to detail.
  • Service Entry Processing for Supply Chain department.
