5. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a Millwright or technician in Manufacturing Operations, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in production maintenance and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of operational best practices, process improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of PLC and related automation operations (Allen‑Bradley) an asset
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in French required, English an asset
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical components; valves, motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors and fans

Responsibilities:

1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete maintenance assignments as directed
  • Participate in the identification of equipment that is operating poorly, inefficiently, or developing issues that could lead to poor functioning.
  • Diagnose and rectify identified equipment issues
  • Carry out a range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials
  • Participate in the development of maintenance plans to correct complex problems, prevent breakdowns and to minimize production downtime
  • Document all failures and maintenance activities using CMMS software - Accurately record time to complete work orders, parts used, time equipment returned to production, etc.
  • Inspection, servicing and repairing of mechanical installations, equipment and machinery
  • Complete maintenance assignments to high standards of excellence
  • Other duties as assigned
