SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to analyze problems, make diagnoses, determine causes and recommend effective corrective methods to prevent recurrence;
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems;
• Sense of responsibility, reliability and resourcefulness;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines;
• Energetic and structured with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Must have good eye-hand coordination and grasping;
• Proper use of hand and power tools, diagnosing and trouble-shooting equipment malfunctions and systems failures are required;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word);
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position: work in a standing position, walk all day, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform physical activities, perform tasks with postures such as: bending, stooping, crouching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• DEP in electromechanics or equivalent diploma;
• 1-3 years in a manufacturing/production environment;
• Experience with manufacturing machinery;
• Experience using Preventive Maintenance Software;

• Install and repair mechanical parts of production equipment;
• Be able to diagnose breakdowns (troubleshooting) on production equipment and propose appropriate solutions;
• Carry out preventive maintenance of production machines;
• Conduct some basic electrical, plumbing and other building repairs (ex: broken locks, filling gaps on walls, painting, carpentry, etc);
• Contributes to the overall success of Building Maintenance by performing other essential duties and tasks as assigned.
