Job Title: Technologist – Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Prototyping (ICAMP)
Department: Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Prototyping (ICAMP)
Location: Commerce Court Campus - North Bay, ON
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Hours Per Week: 37.50 hours
Pay Range: Payband H - $36.29 to $42.13/hour

The ICAMP Technologist will enable the continued growth of all areas and divisions of ICAMP by increasing the team’s capacity to execute projects. The incumbent will be responsible for executing technical and applied research projects, guiding new staff and clients on how to use equipment, and performing day-to-day operations and maintenance activities in the ICAMP lab. The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting the administration of ICAMP, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records, hosting tours, and other activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Engineering, preference for mechanical or closely related specialty
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in the field
- Hands-on experience in 3D modeling using SolidWorks or equivalent computer modeling software
- Hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing processes including one or more of the following: 3D Scanning, 3D Printing, operation of industrial robotics, operation of CNC equipment, waterjet, creation of manufacturing drawings, and/or microscopy
- Experience interacting with clients, scoping projects, issuing quotes, hosting meetings, and conducting applied research

Responsibilities:
- Execute technical projects for ICAMP’s clients, under supervision from the ICAMP Project Leader
- Operate and maintain ICAMP laboratory equipment and software
- Act as a customer liaison for ICAMP, including identifying and scoping projects, coordinating facility use and hosting tours
- Perform administrative duties related to the operation of ICAMP, including purchasing, quoting, invoicing, records management, and report authoring
- Other duties as assigned
