JOB DESCRIPTION:
Status: Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm (Open to flexing shift times: For example: 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday or 8 hours and alternate weekends)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a recognized post diploma program in MRI certification required
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required
- 5 (five) years experience in an academic hospital preferred
- Cross-sectional Anatomy course required
- Contrast injection course required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification required
- Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) preferred
- Excellent problem recognition and problem solving skills
- Effective time management skills; ability to organize work and set priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, as well as the ability to work as an autonomous professional
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment at all sites
- Must be computer literate
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
- Experience with Siemens platform preferred
- Exhibits values consistent with Women’s College Hospital’s excellence in Patient Care and Personal and Professional Accountability
- Professional behaviour and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women’s College Hospital

Responsibilities:
• Performing Magnetic Resonance imaging procedures as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals
- Operating, troubleshooting and ensuring that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
- Preparing written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results
- Maintain high standards of practice and excellence in imaging quality and patient care
- Attendance at meetings as required
- Assistance in data processing, responsible for teaching, training, educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities
- Performing other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care
- Participate in research, safety and education of patients, staff and students observing and understanding Hospital and departmental policies and procedures and designing imaging policies and procedures that will result in improvements in technical quality
- Adhering to Hospital and departmental mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Performing cross-functional responsibilities as assigned, or requested
- Performing other duties related to the job classification, as required
