DETAILS

  • Department: Outpatient
  • Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours, no on-call, with one Saturday a month requirement which you get a day off suring the week. Operating hours 7:00am-7:00pm, Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-5.30pm, Friday and 8:00am-4:30 on Saturday

    Actual compensation offered will vary based on factors including applicable licenses, certifications, education, experience, location, qualifications and comparison with associates in similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Maryland Board of Physicians required ONLY if an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is held.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) also accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.

  • Set up and adjust all equipment and manually maneuver transducer to perform exam.
  • Implement safety standard and perform appropriate quality control procedure.
  • Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures.
  • Recognize significant structure, artifact, pathology and equipment limitations.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
  • Report potential problem or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
