Responsibilities:

As a member of the Service Asset and Configuration Management team, the Software Asset Management Analyst plays a critical role in effective management of a large enterprise software estate. The primary responsibilities of this role involves working on software license management, software harvesting and creating software license positions. Experience with Flexera is strongly preferred.

Interacts with the Flexera Software Asset Management system to ensure data quality of new or changed Asset, Procurement, License and Contract records.

  • Creates ad-hoc Asset Management reports when required.
  • Develops Effective Licensing Positions (ELP) and generates software reconciliation reports.
  • Utilizes available tools to identify software for reclamation.
  • Ensures SAM policies and procedures are being followed in accordance to corporate standards.
  • Develop, implement and refine Software Asset Management processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with software license agreements.
  • Apply understanding and experience with perpetual and subscription license models, SaaS, user licensing, device licensing, network licensing, metered/consumption-based licensing.
  • Drive enterprise risk reduction through collaboration with product owners by finding opportunities for software updates, reclamation or removal.
  • Share knowledge effectively within the work team.
