Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Technology Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of Management experienc
Desired Qualifications:
- Risk practitioner, security, and/or audit certifications including but not limited to CRISC, CISA, CISSP
- Advanced degrees including but not limited to JD, LLM, MBA, MS
- Banking industry experience and/or experience in heavily regulated industry
- Working knowledge of multiple risk types with an emphasis on operational (including technology and cyber security), regulatory/compliance, and reputational risks
- Direct or indirect engineering experience to build, deploy, and maintain technology-based products
- Practical knowledge of working in an Agile way and within a product operating mode
Responsibilities:
Wells Fargo is seeking a talented and experienced risk management and technology leader to help manage risk within Consumer Technology (CT). CT is the technology partner to the largest consumer-facing revenue businesses at Wells Fargo, and this leader will report to the Head of Risk and Control Governance (RCG). Successful candidates distinguish themselves with their related professional acumen, the ability to shape and lead a high-performing team, and the ability to execute in a large, complex environment. A successful candidate must help to deliver available, safe, and secure services to global banking customers, and they must help protect the integrity of the global banking system. The Technology Business Services Sr. Manager must be a trusted partner within the CT and Chief Information Officer (CIO) leadership teams, and also with key stakeholders across the three lines of defense, Legal, and Compliance. Knowledge of the banking regulatory process is important. A candidate must be able to drive risk management outcomes, both with influence and direct action. The ability to turn complex concepts into understandable and actionable work, and to effectively communicate technology and risk management work across management levels and stakeholders, is key.
Across areas related to risk and insights, governance, and process adherence, this leader will manage a team of approximately ten other technology and risk professionals. Collectively, the priorities, activities, and outcomes align to strategy and the reality of changing business and risk conditions. This leader will engage the right people and teams within and outside their direct reports to manage risk within appetite.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and managers in roles with moderate complexity and risk
- Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers associated with the functional area or who are affected by its outcomes
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within Technology Business Services by utilizing research and data in addition to in depth understanding of organizational goals, priorities, and technology while also developing executable strategies and plans
- Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Technology Business Services team to meet moderate to high risk deliverables
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for technology business service functions with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals including technology industry leaders, financial industry leaders, analysts, and regulators, as well as interact directly with more experienced leadership and executive management
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Technology Business Services functional area
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development within Technology Business Services to meet business objectives and strategy
