Description:

For our Corporate Research department, we are currently looking for a Technology Monitoring & Program Coordinator (x|f|m) based in Royston (UK) or Goettingen (Germany) with immediate effect. The owner of this role will report to the Head of Corporate Research. In this role, you will drive the company’s innovative strength by researching new technologies, and their potential commercial impact, that can be used in Sartorius products and services. Through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, as well as active technology scouting, you will identify and promote forward-looking solutions, evaluate their business potential and manage selected external development partners. Together with the team, you will support the strategic direction of Sartorius and create the future with us. This is a full-time and hybrid position, that requires travel, with the opportunity to work some days remotely.

  • Monitoring and analyzing technology trends and developments
  • Projecting potential future developments and business scenarios
  • Coordinating and managing research and development projects
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to promote and manage innovation projects
  • Preparing white papers and presentations for management
  • Supporting the development and implementation of technology roadmaps
  • Carrying out technology scouting and evaluating new technologies
  • Evaluating potential commercial impact of novel technologies
  • Recording and channeling business requirements and communicating them to the relevant departments
  • Managing and coordinating programs to promote technological innovation
  • Ensuring adherence to project goals, schedules, and budgets

What will convince us

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, computer science, natural sciences)
  • Several years of business and commercial experience in life science
  • Broad awareness of current science and technology areas and new technology development processes, funding, IP, etc. As well as commercial awareness
  • Experience in technology scouting and the evaluation of new technologies
  • Ideally, experience from different industries, necessarily from the life science environment and with different technology stacks
  • Proven experience and success in managing and coordinating programs and projects
  • Strong analytical skills and a good level of technical understanding
  • Confidence in addressing areas of which one has no prior knowledge or experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop and maintain good internal and external relationships
  • Fluency in English and willingness to travel rounds off your profile
