We are seeking a talented Technology Product Developer to join a cross functional team in Digital Technology Services, a core function that provides engineering services to the rest of Centrica. Our cross functional teams are responsible for building, testing, and running their platforms in production.
Location: You can work in Windsor/home; we have people working all over the UK but also a range of office locations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

As a Technology Product Developer within the Integration Engineering Team, you will be leading product lines within the portfolio by focusing on building, delivering, and maintaining our internally build products and platforms, alongside working with other product owners and analysts across the product engineering function to deliver advanced products and platforms within the estate.

  • Manage the definition and prioritisation of requirements, including maintaining the product roadmap and backlogs for your product.
  • Ensure prioritisation is given to cloud governance standards, including the management of deprecated runtimes, key rotation, tagging, and other relevant practices to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
  • Support the team in managing and prioritising bug fixes and resolutions.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders to identify opportunities, customer needs and use-cases for product development.
  • Continuously seek customer feedback, and champion action plans to resolve pain points
  • Take responsibility for the overall performance of the products you’re supporting on, with a focus on continuous service improvement and iteration.
  • Lead project delivery with support from a matrix delivery team to maintain and improve on a high-quality product ensuring outstanding customer experience from trials to full implementation.
  • Represent the product throughout the organisation, keeping teams informed of progress and identifying new opportunities to deliver value to customers, colleagues, and business units.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Product Owner
  • Excellent communication skills: whether it’s explaining complex technical architecture or articulating the benefits of the product to different stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Data-driven: you are passionate about using data to support your analysis and decision-making
  • Strong technical skills with platform development, and cloud engineering experience
  • Significant experience of defining user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria to define and scope new product features
  • Significant experience of product backlog management and feature / ticket prioritisation
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
