to our Information Technology Team
CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Technology Specialist (Office 365) to support the increasing business demand for creative and innovative solutions that will empower employees to better use technology in a relevant, user centric manner. As a Technology Specialist you will be responsible for leveraging software and applications to increase efficiency in the modern workplace which includes leading the SharePoint development and administration required to create effective and impactful information sharing and collaboration, and you will support the management of data security and instilling information management best practices. As a member of the Technology Enablement team, you will also support the transformation strategy, driving pilot programs, training employees in the use of current platforms, and working with project teams in the onboarding and adoption of technology changes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading the requirement gathering, design, and development of SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive related projects as a developer and administrator. These projects include applying data and document classification, integrating automations, exporting reports and audit logs, and provisioning/cleaning up inactive sites as well as other new projects which may include the execution of a hub and spoke style intranet.
Managing and sustaining rules, policies, and controls based on access, device, and data and document classifications for data protection tools such as Purview, Compliance Centre, and DLP for O365. Working with tools such as Defender, Sophos, Intune and collaborating with our IT Security team.
Preparing documentation and materials such as solution designs, training guides, manuals, best practices, and creating training slides to support employees, volunteers, and committee members.
Providing on-site support and coaching to employees at all levels including support for meeting room technology and O365.
Information and solution architecture for O365 solutions for specific business area cases.
Who You Are:
A post-secondary graduate preferably in information systems, computer science, technology management or related field.
Experienced in O365 administration, data classification and security, and information/document management solutions with a minimum of 4 years progressive work experience with various technologies including Microsoft Office 365, specifically SharePoint and Teams.
Knowledgeable with ITSM, specifically using ServiceNow as an administrator.
Adept with migration tools such as Sharegate and familiar with the use of Purview, Compliance Centre, and SharePoint Admin Portal.
Proficient with innovation cycles, pilot programs, and design.
An exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills who can deliver presentations, training, and new technology rollouts flawlessly.
Someone who has practiced with automation tools such as PowerShell, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
Organized with outstanding time management and initiative and are able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently with success.
Familiar with ITIL or working toward a certification; knowledge in records management or pursuing a certification in Records & Information Management would be considered an asset.
Highly organized and able to manage projects and timelines with ease within tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
Able to work efficiently and effectively as a team member, as well as independently.
