The Opportunity:
As our successful Technology Support Engineer, you will support solutions engineers on one or more software applications.
You will participate and execute technical standard analysis, implementation and evaluation of small-scale solution projects within technical area of expertise on the following areas: End User Support, Hardware troubleshooting and repair, Operating systems and software, and Tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities and Objectives:
- Assist solution engineers with one or more software applications.
- Participate in the analysis of technical standards, the implementation, and the evaluation of small-scale solution projects within their area of technical expertise:
- End-user support
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Operating systems and software
- Tools and processes
- Investigate issues, analyze solutions, and implement technical changes for small-scale projects.
- Analyze requirements, maintain, test, debug, and integrate application components.
- Support decision-making regarding guidelines and policies, possibly seeking assistance from others.
- Conduct technical analysis and design, modify or configure software and hardware solutions according to Takeda standards, typically within a defined project framework.
- Provide application software development services or related technical support for solution maintenance or defined projects.
- Contribute to business solution deployment to production, manage IMACD processes for End User Equipment, and IT Asset Management.
- Serve as local hands-on support for managed IT infrastructure and End User Equipment.
- Offer support for meeting rooms and events.
- Ensure successful implementation of system improvements.
- Develop and maintain support documentation in line with Takeda’s Quality Management System (QMS), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and IT Project Life Cycle (ITPLC) standards, policies, and procedures.
- Work under moderate guidance and direction.
- Understand key IT and Business objectives and goals, applying this knowledge within their role.
- Provide regular updates on planned initiatives and reports on technology operations and projects.
- Ensure data accuracy in managed services.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills, with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English and local languages (Dutch and/or French) at a professional conversational level is a plus.
- Efficient time management and task coordination in a global IT environment.
- Ability to acquire working knowledge of IT solutions and develop subject-matter expertise.
- Professional training in Computer Science.
- Commitment to continuous skill development and proactive ownership.
- Excellent customer management skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or middle school associate degree, or an equivalent qualification, in one or more related IT disciplines.
- Knowledge of ITIL.
Travel Requirements:
- This position is not eligible for telework.
- Travel to other Takeda sites may be required on an exceptional basis.
