JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Technology Support III team member in the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Technology, Production Management Markets Rates team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science of equivalent
  • Formal training or certification of 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
  • Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
  • Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting
  • Experience in programming languages, with working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programing and Small Talk, Python preferred
  • Experience with database and a firsthand experience in ORACLE, MySQL, or SQL server with experience in SQL and stored procedures
  • Experience with UNIX (RedHat Linux) skills including Unix Shell Scripting – ksh, perl, bash is a plus.
  • Working understanding of public cloud

Responsibilities:

  • Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
  • Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability
  • Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
  • Identity issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
  • Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure
  • Respond to service desk tickets, emails, phone calls and in person to resolve application-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of front office systems and applications including onboarding new users and providing initial training for applications.
  • Function as a key contributor in the continued development of tools, frameworks & technique to improve productivity, stability, quality and promote automation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Application Development and DevOps teams to prioritize issues / bugs in production.
  • Document technical procedures, best practices, and solutions for future reference, focusing on front office applications.
