What You Will Achieve
Pfizer Sanford provides Drug Substance and Drug products to facilities around the globe. This Technical Writer position is designed to write, or support the development of, various technical documents such as: requirements, specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
As an associate, your focus on the job will contribute to achieving project tasks and goals. Through your domain knowledge and commitment, you will create a collaborative team environment for your colleagues.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Contribute to completion of project milestones and organize own work to meet project task deadlines.
  • Support the Technology Transfer team with updates and/or creation of SOPs, MBRs, MFR, and technical memos.
  • Facilitate document reviews with stakeholders.
  • Implement changes needed based on corrective action preventative action (CAPA) and change control commitments.
  • Assist with the management of scheduled periodic review of production documentation and templates, as well as the update of documentation to align with company policy practices and standards.
  • Participates in updates of documentation to ensure documentation is maintained and current for the Functional unit by following standard operating procedure.
  • Maintains effective communication channels enabling effective service delivery.
  • Display expected values, behavior and culture and create an environment of open communication and equal recognition of contribution.
  • Meet project deadlines while ensuring accuracy to minimize errors and reduce cycle time.
  • Initiate and participate in the generation and implementation of continuous improvement (CI) ideas.
  • Improve clarity of standard operating procedures by incorporating Pfizer Human Performance (PHP) principles.

Qualifications

Must Have

  • Applicant must have High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with six years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree with four years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English language proficient).
  • Ability to work in a team environment and complete tasks independently.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Technical writing and evaluation skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience of working in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with risk-based approaches (risk assessments).
  • Previous project management experience, including oversight of contractors.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to enter and navigate cleanroom type environments in manufacturing facilities.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Schedule is primarily day shift, but at times it will be necessary to work additional times to support emergency manufacturing needs (either onsite or remote)

    The annual base salary for this position ranges from $64 600,00 to $107 600,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7,5% of the base salary.
